The Van Tassells have been involved in water media instruction and exploration, which has led to a group of exciting and spontaneous paintings using watercolor and dye. They both received their early training and exhibition experiences in the Hudson River Valley of New York State. Later they moved to Maine where they raised their children and continued to work in art and education.

Since celebrating the new millennium on Anna Maria Island they have been drawn to this very special place. They now enjoy the beauty of Maine and Florida and the unique palette that each area offers.

Their artwork can be seen at the Henrietta D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford, Maine, the Sanford Springvale Art Association Gallery, the Gallery of the Artists’ Guild on Anna Maria Island, and ArtCenter Manatee in Bradenton, Florida.
